Senior Business Analyst

Business Analyst | Dublin | Hybrid | Permanent

Hiring on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Business Analyst to deliver high-quality financial and commercial analysis supporting a significant Value Creation Plan across a group of regulated businesses.

Responsibilities

• Construct financial models to deliver actionable insights across identified commercial projects
• Develop and maintain a Value Chain model to identify growth engines and leakage across the group
• Build Lifetime Value models linking consumer analytics with unit economics across customer cohorts to support marketing investment
• Translate complex financial and commercial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders including the CFO
• Support M&A modelling and business case development
• Work closely with commercial analysts across group entities to deliver joined-up insight
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business cases
• Extract and interpret insights from large, complex datasets across multiple data sources

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a similar financial or commercial analysis role
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills — financial modelling, pivot tables, data analysis, and advanced formulas
• Strong experience working with large datasets and extracting commercial insights
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across financial and non-financial audiences
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CGMA, or equivalent) desirable
• M&A modelling experience advantageous
• High level of integrity and discretion with commercially sensitive information

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms — Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, or similar modernisation initiatives
• Exposure to AI, automation, or digital transformation projects
